THE NEW MAPS ARE HERE!! THE NEW MAPS ARE HERE!!
The 2006 QCM maps are now available for downloading. There is a FULL marathon map and a HALF marathon map. Relay teams, please use the FULL map.
Each map shows locations for aid stations, relay exchange points and kilometer/mile marks. A written course description and an elevation chart are being completed and will be available for downloading when they are ready.
The full marathon course has been officially measured for AIMS/Athletics Canada certification and, once the paperwork is back from the Athletics Canada office, we'll be posting the new certification code.
Thank you all for your patience as you waited for the new course maps...changing a marathon course is not as easy as it sounds, believe me. We all owe a great big "thank you" to the QCM's official course measurer and AIMS/Athletics Canada certifer: Milos Kostic. Way to measure, Milos!

Congratulations to the 2005 Global/Leader-Post and Arthritis Society/Joints In Motion aid station teams! They were voted the favourite aid stations at QCM V.
Following the 2005 Queen City Marathon, participants were asked to vote online for their favourite aid stations. Votes were tabulated for the first and second halves of the course, to allow for the fact that more participants covered just the first half of the QCM course. Over 1,000 runners and walkers voted and the Global/Leader-Post and Arthritis Society/Joints In Motion aid stations came out on top and were each awarded a $250 Pizza Party at Tumblers Restaurant.
The voting sure was close! To see the final voting results, click HERE. Congratulations to ALL our aid station teams for bringing such amazing enthusiasm and encouragement to our QCM runners and walkers! You're all awesome!
