Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about the AAA Run/Walk:
How does the chip timing work?/How can I find out my time?
Please refer to Atlantic Chip Timers at www.atlanticchip.ca
What is the course layout?/Which direction are we running?
All runners ands walkers will leave the bandstand area of DeWolfe Park. The 2km scamper route will follow the waterfront path (NEWLY PAVED and landscaped!) to the South Pier, turn around and come back the same way to the bandstand. The 5 and 10km route will leave the bandstand and turn up through DeWolfe Park, heading the opposite way, along the waterfront path in front of the Condos, to Shore Drive. Continue along Shore Drive and turn around at a designated point just before Hatchery Lane. Coming back along Shore Drive again, but staying right, to run behind the condos, along the sidewalk on Waterfront Dr. Continuing along the service road to the South Pier. Turn around at South Pier, and following the waterfront path (NEWLY PAVED and landscaped!) to the bandstand. The 10km walkers and runners, will turn left just prior to reaching the bandstand, and follow the same route one more time, coming back to the bandstand the second time through.
- Water stations will be positioned along the route.
- This predominantly is a flat route.
Are there washrooms?
Washroom facilities will be available at DeWolfe Park for the event.
Where is medical help?
St. John's Ambulance should be on site to provide medical assistance if required.
