Waterfront Trail 8K Run, 5k Run and Double Crown

Saturday September 18, 2004
Run Start: 8:30am for 5K and 9:30am for 8K

This will be a great event for the learn to run and For Women only clinics that are starting up about this time.

Registration:
8k - $30.00 until September 10th
$35.00 thereafter

5k - $25.00 until September 10th
30.00 thereafter

$45.00 for the Double Crown until race day

Race-Day Registration:
Emmas Backporch from 7:00 am until 8:30. Arrive early for the Double Crown and 5k

Race Kit Pick-Up:
Friday September 17th from 10:00 until 5:00 pm at the Burlington Running Room, 3300 Fairview Street across from Chapters. Also
race day morning 7:00am - 9:00pm at Emma's Backporch.

Location:

Emmas Backporch Old Lakeshore Road Burlington off Lakeshore 2 blocks east of Brant Street

Distance:
8 kilometres and 5 kilometres along paved bike path and road along Lake Ontario. Voted by Runners World as one of the most scenic races in Canada. There is also a double crown event which is the combination of the 5 and 8k to the total a 13 kilometre race.

Lots in the area

Post Race Party:
Takes place at Emmas Backporch with great Sandwiches courtesy of VR Pro and Emmas.

T-Shirts and Prizes:

The first 300 people that enter the event will receive a free t-shirt. Finishing medals will be awarded to all Double Crown finishers.

Prizes to the overall male, female, masters male and female in the 5k and 8k.

Medals to the top 3 in 5 year increments from 10 and under to 70 plus.

1st, 2nd and third overall male and female plus masters will receive a prize in the Double Crown.
