Saturday, June 26 from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Race Day:
Immaculata High School, 140 Main Street between 6:30 am & 7:45 am
Registration Fees

Step 2:
COLLECT PLEDGES-It’s easier than you think!
Pledged participants can bring hope to women and children fleeing abuse. Ask anyone you know
to sponsor you by making a tax-deductable contribution ($10 or more).

Step 3:
RACE KIT PICK-UP AND TURN IN PLEDGES
Pick-up your race kit and hand
in your collected pledges at The Running Room on Friday, June 25 between
2-8 pm, or on Saturday, June 26 from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm or at the
race. All pledges must be received by June 27, 2004 in order to be
eligible for the pledge prizes.
Step 4: HAVE FUN!
Enjoy a fun filled morning with your family, knowing that
you are helping someone in your community. Refreshments will be
served at the Awards Presentation and remember..... all participants
have a chance to win some great draw prizes.

The Cause
The women’s shelters of Ottawa-Carleton provide important services
for women and their children seeking to leave situations of abuse
and establish new lives.
This event is about promoting women’s health and well-being, increasing
public awareness about abuse against women and their children, and
strengthening community support for shelters in the Ottawa area.
Event Day Activities
Schedule
6:30-7:45 am Registration
8:00 am 2 km walk, 5 km walk, 5 km run
8:10 am 10 km run
9:15 am Therien jiu jitsu demonstration
9:30 am Awards and Draw Prizes
Medals to the top finishers (male and female) in the 5 km run and
10 km run and to the top finishers in the 5 km walk and 2 km walk.
All registrants will receive a free t-shirt, while quantities last,
and a chance to win great draw prizes (must be present to win).
Collect pledges and be eligible to win a great prize from Birks Jewlers.
Pledged participants with more than $75 in pledges could win a DVD
player, courtesy of Merivale Mall.
The individual who collects the most pledges will win two first class
Via Rail tickets in the Quebec-Windsor travel corridor. The team that
collects the most pledges will win a special prize.
Services Offered
Many services will be offered to our participants on race day including
daycare provided by the shelter staff, a “sweat check” to store your
belongings while you run/walk, all free of charge.
Team Challenge
Get your company, community, friends or family involved and form a
team of 4 or more members.
