last chance

Race Description
We all know that the running season doesn’t end when the snow flies, but it seems like the races do; the last chance half marathon is your opportunity to get one final race in before everyone retreats to the treadmills!

Hostelling International, in conjunction with Crape Geomatics, is pleased to present the inaugral last chance half. A fundraiser for Hostelling International, this race is sure to be a huge success as the final half marathon in Calgary until February.

The race begins at 10 a.m. under the Olympic arch in front of the Eau Claire YMCA (101 3 St. SW) and follows city pathways for the entire 21.1 km. If the white stuff has fallen, the city pathways will be cleared of snow.

All participants receive a long-sleeved shirt and ticket to the post race meal at Brewsters.

Race Series
Keep your eyes open for a new race series from Hostelling International and Crape Geomatics. Beginning in 2005, the race series will include some old favourites, such as the Kananskis 100 mile relay race, as well as some new races, such as the 5/10/15 k in April. Stay tuned!
