Overview
The Heart Beat of Edmonton is organized by the Northern Alberta
Cardiac Rehabilitation Program to increase awareness of heart disease
and promote the importance of activity as part of a healthy lifestyle.
Regular physical activity benefits us by improving blood cholesterol
levels, reducing blood pressure, controlling body weight, and reducing
mental stress. The net effect is a drastic reduction of risk for
heart disease for those who do regular exercise. Come out and participate
at Heart Beat and help us spread the word.
