Details

The Running Room Events Team is planning on hosting in-person events in select cities for 2022!

We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and follow public health guidelines and the event will be virtual if an in-person event cannot be held.

COVID-19 Vaccination Policy:

The Running Room has made the health and safety of the running community our top priority. In order to participate in our live races you must be fully vaccinated and be able to provide your government issued QR Code as proof of vaccination at package pick up.

If you have a medical exemption, you must provide us with a doctor’s note confirming the exemption and a negative rapid antigen result 72 hours prior to event day.

If you are not comfortable with getting the vaccine, or if you are not sure about participating in an in-person event we offer a Virtual Hypothermic Half option available for participants. Click Here for our 2022 Virtual Hypo Half registration page.

Race Day Safety protocols

We encourage all participant to carry their own hydration/nutrition for the event. We will have limited self-serve water stations.

For your own and other’s safety we will require masking at the start area.

  • Edmonton Hypothermic Half participants will recieve a "pick up and go" boxed lunch*:
    • *scrambled eggs
    • *sausage & bacon
    • *baby breakfast potatoes
    • *fruit cup
    • *individually wrapped muffin or scone
    • *coffee / juice
  • No indoor seating will be allowed for the post race boxed lunch*.
  • All participants will receive a limited edition 730ml Hypothermic Half Thermos and a Finisher Medal.

  • We are so proud to be celebrating 40 years in Edmonton! On September 1, 1981, YESS was officially incorporated after years of work from the community in Bonnie Doon.

    Over the years we have moved from the crisis focus of emergency shelter to a prevention focus that provides everything from shelter to resources to trauma support. We even changed our name to Youth Empowerment and Support Services in 2012
    .
    What has stayed constant is the importance of community in our mission to walk beside youth on their journeys towards healing.

    Thank you to our partner agencies, board members, donors, volunteers, and wider community for collaborating with us over the years! And thank you to the youth who are courageously seizing their goals and their futures in our programs.

    All you need to do is go to the Fundraising tab (at the top of the registration page) and select Raise Funds to set up your fundraising page.

  1. Choose your event! Click on the registration link to go to the secure registration page
  2. Fill out your information on the registration form. Make sure to include your proper email address!
  3. Use your credit card to pay your registration fee! Transactions processed securely.
  4. You will receive a confirmation Email, outlining your application and payment details.
  5. Check the on-line confirmation list above.
  • All entries are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Entry fee does not include processing fee .

Many of our events are affiliated with a charity. Supporting a charity has never been easier!

It's Simple! If you are registering for an event that is associated with a Charity there will be a Donations tab on the top of the race page. All you need to do is go to the Donations tab and select Raise funds to set up your fundraising page. Once you set up a new Fundraising account or login with your existing profile you are ready to solicit your friends and family members to support you! All the resources you need to set your donation goals, solicit donation, and track funds are on your donations dashboard.
