Runnning Room

Legacy Park Family Festival began in 1996 in conjunction with the RCMP Scarlet Ride, a bicycle ride across Canada. The City of Fort Saskatchewan Recreation and Culture Board, along with the Community Services Staff and the RCMP spearheaded the local Scarlet Riders Bike Festival. The event was planned to promote bike safety, the new multi-use trail system and the many recreation opportunities in Fort Saskatchewan. With the development of Legacy Park, the festival was moved to that site and expanded into the promotion of many types of family safety and fun activities.
