Erindale Park is situated in a large greenbelt alongside the Credit River and is the largest park in the City (222.1 acres or 89.88 hectares). This area of the Credit River supports runs of Rainbow and Brown Trout, Chinook, Coho, and Atlantic Salmon. This park provides runners/walkers with spectacular views of the Credit River and trail ravines and offers a special brand of peace and beauty for runners and walkers.

PROCEEDS FROM THIS EVENT: will go to the Education Programs for the Mayan Chorti children of the Merendon Mountains in Guatemala. These children experience poverty and hardship every day of their lives, but with your support, they will be given hope for a better future.

HISTORY OF CCAMRE:

Canadian Central American Relief Effort (CCAMRE) was born after Hurricane Mitch devastated Central America in 1998. CCAMRE is a non-profit humanitarian organization, which works to better the lives of the Mayan Chorti in the Merendon Mountains in Guatemala, who live in poverty and misery. CCAMRE helps them through programs of Education, Health, and Economic Development, with the hope for them to become self-sufficient.

The Rotary Club Mississauga-Airport, and CCAMRE built a community centre health clinic in Timushan and it was named "Faith and Hope".

CCAMRE is a community of Canadians working in partnership with a community of Central-Americans resulting in improved lives in both regions.
