Guaranteed Entry From Running Room and Dream Travel

Guaranteed entry along with the purchase of a tour package is available through Running Room Canada Inc. and Dream Travel. This package is restricted to Canadian full-time residents only. Non full-time Canadian residents must apply via a Tour Operator of their country.

Who Can Apply

Any full-time Canadian resident who will be 18 or older on Saturday, November 2nd, 2013, may apply for entry (which must include 3 nights hotel at a minimum). Only one application per person; any fees processed due to individuals submitting duplicate applications are non-refundable.

Initial Deposit Towards Package
An initial deposit of $750 will be charged immediately using our on-line registration form. This is an initial deposit only and will come off of your package price. The balance payable no later than July 1st, 2013. This deposit is non-refundable without insurance. Lottery winners will receive their deposit back less the processing fee charged at time of deposit.


The Running Room and Dream Travel will provide Entry only as part of a complete package which at minimum must include 3 nights hotel and may also include airfare and other touring arrangements. We will also collect a waiver from each participant to complete your package.

Runner's Wavier

Each participant of the 2013 ING New York City Marathon will need to sign and return a Runner's Waiver to Dream Travel by the deadline set out by Dream Travel.

Looking for a Roommate?

If you are looking to share your accommodations and save some money, please indicate at the time of registration and we will guarantee a roommate of the same sex.

After You Apply

After you apply we will post your name at and Dream Travel will contact you to complete your registration process via the email address you provided. You must complete and return the forms issued to you by Dream Travel before you are issued a guaranteed entry.

Protect yourself and your money by purchasing our Group Insurance. Due to the costs associated with this trip, and because you will not be traveling until November, we highly recommend purchasing our inexpensive travel insurance. With paid insurance you will be able to cancel for insurable reasons as well as running injuries! Insurance covers: Cancellation, Interruption, Medical and Baggage. Please note that the insurance coverage that you may have with your credit card will not cover you completely.
We are unable to process insurance for those living in Quebec. Please contact your local travel agency for coverage.

Not Included with your Package

Insurance, airfare, meals, taxes and items of a personal nature are not included in your package.

Late Fees

Due to contracts with the hotels and with the NYRR, who controls this event, we must have both your Final Payment and your Runner's Waiver in by the deadline. A late fee of $50 will be applied to those who do not have their Final Payment in by July 1st, 2013. A late fee of $50 plus courier charges will be applied to those who do not have their Runner's Waiver in by the deadline. The deadline for the Runner's Waiver will be sent to you when you register.

Please Note:

Understanding the Pricing
As prices are per person and packages are based on double occupancy, if two people are traveling together, each will need their own package to share one hotel room. A single traveler wanting their own room pays for a Guaranteed Entry package and a Spectator package. Here are some examples:

  • Two people traveling together, both running and staying at the Hilton for 3 nights:
    $1729 + $212 tax each
  • Two people, one runner, one spectator at the Paramount for 3 nights:
    ($1899+$237 tax Runner) + ($1079+$190 tax Spectator)
  • One runner on their own at the Waldorf, not wanting a roomate, for 4 nights:
    $2324+$297 tax Runner + $1424 + $248 tax

How to Register

1. Choose your event! Click on the registration link to go to the secure registration page.
2. Fill out your information on the registration form. Make sure to include your proper email address!
3. Use your credit card to pay your registration fee! Transactions processed securely.
4. You will receive a confirmation Email, outlining your application and payment details.
5. Check the on-line confirmation list above.
6. If there are any questions about your online registration please click on the contact us link to communicate with the race director.

All entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. Entry fee does not include processing fee.
