Walking Programs

Walking Program | WALK FITNESS

Duration: 10 weeks

Turn your walking into a work out. This training program is broken down into several levels of increasing challenge. Walkers of all levels can participate and enjoy the program together.

Your training program class will be held once a week at the date and time listed on your registration. Each class starts with a 20 to 30 minute group seminar followed by a group walk. To complete your weekly training schedule, you will then join your instructor and group for walks (i.e. no class) at Run Club on Wednesday, Friday evenings and Saturday, Sunday mornings at any Running Room. Day and Time may vary by location.


An ideal program for those interested in Stress Management & Weight Loss. This fully integrated walking program enhances the benefits of walking and essentially turns walking into a workout.

Weekly Program Includes

Goal setting, Injury prevention, Hill training, Cross training, Motivation, Apparel and shoe selection, Nutrition, Biomechanics, Heart rate training, Hot and cold weather running

Determine Your Level

In order to prevent injury, it is recommended that you take a training program best suited to your current fitness level. This program is for newly active walkers and is designed to establish a regular routine and start you off conservatively. The walking effort is a relaxed, normal pace, with lots of rest between workouts. Each week you will see improvement. You will slightly increase your walking times every two weeks.
