Training programs will include a ZOOM group lesson with the instructor or guest speaker on a weekly topic. You will receive the link to join the meet each week from your instructor. Talks will be approximately 30 minutes with time for questions after. The session will be recorded and made available to all participants as well.

All Distances: Stephen Price
Stephen brought together his two loves (running and travel) to start his company Dream Travel Canada, which takes runners and walkers around the world to participate in exotic races. He started running in 2001 in order to lose weight, despite being told since birth that a serious birth defect to his foot and leg would not allow him to run. He quickly fell in love with the sport and within ten months, had completed marathons in New York City, Reykjavik, Iceland and Edmonton. Instructing Running Room training programs was the next step and something that he continues to this day. Between racing and Dream Travel destinations, he has visited close to 100 countries.
Learn to Run: Warren Footz
After more than a few false starts, this journey began for Warren when he walked into a Running Room about 25 years ago and signed up for a Learn to Run Clinic. What he thought would be 10 weeks and done, has led to marathons in Kelowna, Vancouver, Victoria, Edmonton and New York; Ironman Triathlons in Penticton, races over the Rocky Mountains in Grande Cache and Crowsnest Pass. Now he instructs clinics, to introduce others to the joy of running.
10K: Theresa Hales
After retiring from competitive sports, in her early 20s Theresa began running to stay healthy and fit. Almost 35 years later, she has run every distance from 5k to 100k and have participated in countless races, both road and trail and coached hundreds of runners and walkers. There are not likely many running issues that I that I haven't encountered as either a coach or runner at one time or another. Theresa has been coaching for 18 years with the Running Room and has coached both runners and walkers for every distance from Learn to Run to the Marathon. I find coaching all levels of runners incredibly inspirational and rewarding! Looking forward to the 10K clinic!
Half and Full Marathon: Chris Seto
Chris started running in 2011, with the intention of the addition of running to support his weight loss goals. He joined the Running Room Marathon Clinic and successfully completed his first Marathon four months later. He fell in love with the various aspects of running, which include experiencing the outdoors, getting involved with the running community, and the rush of setting lofty goals. Chris started Coaching the Marathon Clinic in 2014 at the Denman Running Room. Since that time, he has coached over 15 Marathon & Half Marathon Clinics, and he has also been a Vancouver Marathon RunVan Ambassador for the past 5 years. He has completed more than 55 Marathons / Ultra-Marathons as well as over 100 Half Marathons and shorter distance races in his 10-year running career. He has participated in marathons and Ultra Marathons around the world and enjoys adding the elements of running to his world travels along with his husband Justin. Since 2020, Chris has also trained for and ran more than 12 Virtual Races...the show must go on!
Half and Full Marathon: Justin Bonzo
Justin started running in 2010 after losing 80lbs and soon after decided he wanted to run a marathon. He started as a participant in the June 2011 marathon clinic without having ever run a half-marathon (or any other race). Since then, he has completed 49-marathons and ultra-marathons. Along the way he decided to set the goal of 50-marathons before I turn 50-years-old. With any luck (and training), he will run his 50th marathon in July 2021 - 18-months before his 50th birthday. The Running Room program has helped him to set and achieve his running goals. Justin has been instructing the half and full marathon clinics since 2012 and enjoys watching people progress past levels they thought they would never achieve.

Learn to Run »
This on-line program will get you started toward your running goals. Learn all you need to know about running in all kinds of weather, nutrition, goal setting, injury prevention, motivation, pacing and much more. At the end of this program you will be running for 20 minutes with a gradual progression of run and walk breaks.
5km Program »
This on-line program will take you from the Learn to Run right up to the 5K distance. Prepare for your first 5K event and improve your current fitness as you build from your learn to run schedule.
10km Program »
Build on your 5K training to prepare for your first 10K event or improve your 10K time. This onl-line program will introduce you to hill training and steady runs to accompany your weekly long runs.
Half Marathon »
Build on the benefits of our 10 and 1 training to include hill training, tempo running and speed work in your training schedule. Take your training beyond the 10K to reach your half marathon goals.
If you are looking to complete a marathon or just experience the training, this on-line program is for you. We will build on the half-marathon program and include hill training, 10 and 1 training and speed work to help you complete your marathon training schedule.
Endurance Maintenance: Staying in Shape »
In this program we provide options with schedules for Beginner, Intermediate and Experienced runners. These are programs where there is no specific goal orientation other than maintaining levels of running fitness.
